FLUSH ALUMINUM DOORS - Series 1200

1. GENERAL

Impact Resistant Flush Aluminum Doors as shown in the architectural drawings shall be Series 1200 as manufactured by SOL-A-TROL Aluminum Products, Miami, Fla. The complete assembly with vision lites and hardware shall have been tested according to SBCC-SSTD 12-199 for large Missile Impact at minimum positive and negative design load of 85 psf (127.5 psf structural test pressure.)

2.  MATERIAL

Extruded aluminum 6063-T6 (Alloy and Temper)

3.  FRAME

Aluminum tubular 1” x 4”, wall thickness .125”, mechanically joined.

4.  DOOR

Aluminum tubular core (1 ¾” x 5” main and 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” intermediate) wall thickness .094” to .125” joined with brackets and 3/8” diameter structural rod at top and bottom rails. Lamination to be 1/8” hardboard with .062 aluminum skin over the aluminum tubular core with 2 lb. density polystyrene infill. Extruded aluminum perimeter end cap closures with pile weather-stripping as required. Total door thickness at end caps 2 3/8.”

5. FINISHES

Electro-statically applied baked enamel.
Clear Anodized.
Bronze Hardcoat.
Kynar 500.

6. THRESHOLD

Extruded aluminum threshold A.D.A. compliant. (Mill finish with neoprene weather-stripping.)

7. VISION PANELS

Extruded aluminum framed vision panels glazed with 7/16” Saflex Laminated Glass (up to three vision panels per door.)

8. HARDWARE

A) EXIT DEVICE:

1. Von Duprin 99 Series panic device with 499F heavy-duty strike. (Card reader hardware available)
2.  Corbin Russwin Series ED42005 panic device.

B) HINGES:

1. Stainless Steel heavy duty, high traffic rated 4 ball bearing, N.R.P. butt hinges mounted to galvanized steel reinforcing back-up plates. ( three hinges per door)

C) REMOVABLE MULLION:

1. Von Duprin steel mullion #9954 with 154 stabilizer for double doors.
