For the development of Blue Lakes School in Palm Beach County, Sol-A-Trol collaborated with Moss Construction and Zyscovich Architects to manufacture a highly robust, code-compliant architectural fenestration package. The new elementary school facility required an engineered combination of high-impact window profiles capable of maximizing natural daylighting while maintaining a secure protective barrier against extreme tropical storm forces. The building envelope utilizes Sol-A-Trol's heavy-duty Series 5000 Impact Window Wall systems integrated seamlessly with high-operability Series 3000 Impact Casement windows.
The structural integration of these premium commercial lines highlights the design flexibility and exceptional structural rigidity of our extruded aluminum frames. Extruded from structural-grade 6063-T6 aluminum alloy, the deep profiles are engineered to handle high wind-load pressures and prevent frame twisting over decades of heavy institutional use. The pairing of static window walls with operable casement units delivers localized ventilation control, superior energy efficiency, and low maintenance overhead, providing architects and general contractors with a reliable and verified building envelope solution.
