The major renovation of Flamingo Elementary School in Hialeah showcases Sol-A-Trol's specialty in customizing heavy-duty architectural glass systems for unique aesthetic and safety requirements. In partnership with MCM Construction and McHarry and Associates, Sol-A-Trol engineered a robust facade featuring Series 3000 Impact Casement, Series 3000 Impact Fixed, and Series 5000 Impact Window Wall systems embedded with custom multicolored glass. This configuration satisfies the highest Miami-Dade County high-velocity hurricane zone metrics while introducing a dynamic visual aesthetic to the campus perimeter.

Utilizing premium 6063-T6 structural aluminum frames, the system effortlessly supports the substantial weight of the specialized heavy glazing over large architectural spans. The Series 5000 Window Wall ensures the expansive glazed sections remain rigid under extreme wind loads, while the matching Series 3000 Casement and Fixed profiles provide a reliable, water-tight perimeter. This project demonstrates to general contractors and architects how specialized design can be executed without compromising strict impact certification or material longevity.
